Down 4-0 in the top 7, the wolves started a rally that fell just short, Javier Cruz led off with a single up the middle, and Chris Arnaud pinch ran, 1 out later Steven Perez ripped a single to left, Derrick Rosario singled to right to load the bases and was pinch run for by Franklin Ventura. Aniel luna then hit a 2 run single to cut the score to 4-2 with one out. He was pinch ran for by Adonis Grullon. Junior Cruz hit a sacrifice fly to left field to make it 4-3 with two outs. That’s where it ended as Alvin Valdez just got under a pitch to fly out to left field to end the game.
Overall, this was a successful first season for the Wolves who finished 11-4 in the regular season, and showed heart, coming back from deficits multiple times to tie or win games.
Coach Joe and I are very proud of our team and know we have a bright future. We want to wish our seniors Derrick Rosario, Adonis Grullon and David Perez best of luck next year.
